In Destiny 2’s new Season of the Drifter, players can make use of items known as Synths to work their way towards fancy Gambit Prime armor sets. Sentry Synths are one of these types, letting you build your way towards the Sentry armor set. If you’re not sure how to get a Sentry Synth, or have gained a Sentry Synth and don’t know what it’s for, this guide is for you!
There are four main Synth types in Destiny 2 Season of the Drifter: Reaper, Collector, Invader and Sentry. Each lets you build towards a unique armor set that can be earned from competing in The Reckoning.
To get a Sentry Synth, you need to take part in games of Gambit Prime or The Reckoning, though you’ll already need a Synth to enter the latter. All types of Synths can be gained as a random drop from completing Gambit Prime matches, or by finishing Gambit Prime bounties.
Once you have one, you can combine your Sentry Synth with a Weak Synthesizer (obtained from the Drifter). Doing so will create a Sentry Mote. Motes are what you need to enter The Reckoning, as you’ll offer these up before starting the match. Win your game of The Reckoning in time and you’ll receive a piece of the Sentry armor set.
If you’re looking to obtain the whole bundle, you’ll want to earn yourself a number of Sentry Synths to do so. You can also consume Motes during matches to give you a boost to your Synth type, letting you access the higher level perks for that armor set for a short while.
So, to quickly run you through the process again, you first need to get a Sentry Synth by playing in Gambit Prime or completing Gambit Prime bounties. Then, combine your Sentry Synth with a Weak Synthesizer to create a Sentry Mote. Use the Sentry Mote to access The Reckoning which, when completed, will grant you a piece of the Gambit Prime Sentry Armor set.
That’s all there is to know on how to get a Stealth Synth in Destiny 2, so get out there and start collecting that armor, Guardian!
