How to Catch a Rare Pokemon

How many Pokemon do you have in your collection? Better still, how many rare Pokemon have you caught?

There are a ton of great rare Pokemon spawns for players to find and uncover in Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. While we’ve already shown you how to find a few of these special Pokémon spawns, we’ve got another for you today telling you how to get Dratini in Pokémon: Let’s Go. This article will show you how to find and catch Dratini in Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee so you can get your hands on the rare Pokémon.

How to Get Dratini in Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

As with some of the other rare Pokemon spawns we’ve shown you how to find—like starter Pokémon Bulbasaur and Charmander, those looking to get their hands on a Dratini will have a bit of work to do. Unlike some of the other rare spawns we’ve shown you, though, Dratini can only be found in one particular place on the map, which means you won’t have any backup plans, so make sure you bring along some extra Lures to increase your chances of getting the Pokemon to spawn without much trouble.

To catch yourself a Dratini, grab your party and head over to Route 10, near the Power Plant where you can find Zapdos. It should be noted, though, that Dratini will only spawn in the water, which means you’ll need to make use of the Sea Skim Secret Technique, which will allow you to travel on the water. You’ll also want to make use of the new Catch Combos in Pokemon: Let’s Go.

Basically, by catching the same Pokemon over and over, you’ll increase your Catch Combo, which will increase the chances of you spotting rarer Pokemon like Dratini. You can easily farm up your Catch Combo in the grassy areas near the water path on Route 10. If you want to increase your chances of spotting a Dratini, then make sure you get at least a Catch Combo of 10 or more to increase the chances of Dratini appearing while you’re traveling the watery path around Route 10.

While Route 10 is the only place that you can find Dratini in Pokemon: Let’s Go, players who caught Dratini in Pokemon: GO can transfer their Dratini over from the mobile version of the game using the GO Park feature in Pokemon: Let’s Go. You can learn more about how to transfer Pokémon from Pokemon: GO by checking out our guide, or head back to our Pokemon: Let’s Go guide for more helpful content.
