Bungie has revealed a limited-time Destiny 2 Black Lives Matter emblem and pin that players can order to receive a real-life pin and an in-game emblem for their character. All proceeds from the pin will be going directly to the Equal Justice Initiative, which aims to protect “basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.” Here’s how you can get a Destiny 2 Black Lives Matter pin.

Destiny 2 Black Lives Matter Fundraiser – How to Get the Pin

The Destiny 2 Black Lives Matter pin can be purchased from the Bungie Store for $14.99. Those who purchase the item will receive a code in their emails which can be used to redeem an in-game emblem. Further, in 3-4 months after purchase, those who participated in the fundraiser will receive a Black Lives Matter collectible pin.

The Destiny 2 Black Lives Matter pin, which can be seen in the image above, shows a closed fist clutching a lightning bolt with a line of text reading “Black Lives Matter.” As we mentioned above, all proceeds will go directly to the Equal Justice Initiative which is actively working to “challenge racial and economic injustice.” The Black Lives Matter fundraiser is just one of Bungie’s responses to the unjust death of George Floyd. Earlier this month, Bungie honored Floyd in its Future of Destiny event by having an 8 minute and 46 second moment of silence.

While you’re waiting for your pin to arrive in the mail, there are a lot of exciting things in the horizons for Destiny players. In September, Bungie will release Destiny 2 Beyond Light, which is the first of three expansions that will be released over the next three years. With Bungie committing to support Destiny 2 until at least 2022, this means that Destiny 3 is not in development, and Destiny 2 will be making the jump to next-gen with cross-generational support.

Currently, Destiny 2 is in the middle of the Season of Arrivals, which is the final season before the Beyond Light expansion. Further, Bungie recently announced the first Iron Banner event of the season, which will allow players to earn eight weapons and two perks. If you’d like to know more about it, we’ve got a full rundown in our Iron Banner guide.

If you’ve been away from the game for a while and are planning to jump back in, there are a few new things in the Season of Arrivals that you’ll want to be aware of. Luckily, we have some awesome guides that are linked below which should help get you started. Further, as new updates continue to release, we will have lots of great coverage on our homepage.
