We’re officially on the road to the next Call of Duty, which is conveniently lining up with the big finale of this year’s Call of Duty League. Over the weekend the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend will air via the official site and CoD companion app. Folks who have their Activision accounts linked up will be able to receive a number of rewards for their Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games, along with a chance for some free DLC. But now, Activision has sweetened the pot a little.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Beta Code Giveaway Details

The next game in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will officially launch on November 13, 2020. That’s not exactly far away, but with the pandemic situation a lot of major announcements have been significantly delayed from their usual patterns. Still, online games need online beta tests, especially when they also need pre-order bonuses. So of course Black Ops Cold War will see a beta test before launch, which PS4 players will get earlier access to.

At the moment, the only way to get into the beta early is to pre-order a digital version of the game. Physical copies are just the Standard Edition, and won’t come with any bonuses directly from Activision. So if you’re planning on copping a physical copy or not interested in locking in a pre-order, your best bet to get into the beta is by getting a code through means such as giveaways. And it just so happens that Activision is running a giveaway of its own.

This is a pretty substantial giveaway, too. Activision will be giving out a whopping 10,000 Black Ops Cold War early access beta codes on Sunday, August 30, 2020. This is the second and final day of the CDL Champs event, which starts on Saturday. This beta code giveaway joins several previously-announced freebies, such as a guaranteed CDL Knife Blueprint, some special Calling Cards, and more. The codes will be randomly distributed, and you’ll likely need to have your Activision account linked up with the stream to be eligible.
