Some quick notes about Brewster:

  • You need to have at least a three-star island
  • Have opened up the art wing in the museum
  • donate at leas tone of every item to the museum

First off, as soon as you’ve updated to the 2.0 update in New Horizons, head to blathers in the museum. After talking to him, Blathers will tell you about Brewster and his cafe. From here he will send you on a mission to talk to Kapp’n.

Kapp’n can be found on your island’s pier. Talk to him and he will tell you about his mystery island tours that cost 1,000 Nook Miles. Pay the miles to go to a mysterious island.

Once you’re on the island look around and you’ll find Brewster, an owl in a safari cap, and a killer mustache. Talk to brewster who will then give you a Gyroid Fragment and teach you how to plant and water Gyroids.

After this interaction tell Brewster that Blathers sent you and Brewster will tell you to relay a message back.

Head back once you’re done on the island (if there are any interesting plants or trees grab them now because you can’t come back).

Now go talk to Blathers back at the Museum and he will be ecstatic to hear Brewster is coming to join your island.

However, Blathers will need ample time to make sure the cafe is ready for Brewster so your island will be closed the following day to make the preparations.
