How to Get Wheat & Sugarcane In Animal Crossing New Horizons
Cooking will require growing crops, which you’ll need to plant and water yourself. SO of course, you’re going to want and find Leif, your pal who comes to the plaza on your island to sell you all things plants. Now waiting around might be a bit of a hassle, but luckily this update also brought a brand new feature.
Harv’s Island Plaza is a hub where you can donate 100,000 bells to different gyroids. After selecting the building you want, you’ll open a permanent shop in the plaza on Harv’s Island that you can visit at any time to grab whatever stuff you need.
Leif’s building is the gyroid just right of the windmill in the back, the Gyroid will mention a person with an excellent green thumb.
After purchasing Leif, you’ll need to wait one day for the building to be built. Once this is complete you can browse Leif’s wares and he will sell sugarcane and wheat on a rotating schedule, so if you’re lucky you can snag both to plant on your island.
Once you’ve planted them, just water and wait for them to grow so you can harvest them for cooking.
