How to Get Superhot: Mind Control Delete for Free

In the simplest of terms, anyone who purchased a copy of the original Superhot can get Mind Control Delete for free. Additionally, anyone who purchases a copy of Superhot prior to July 16th will also receive a copy of Mind Control Delete for free. So if you missed out on the first game and have been wanting to try it out, now’s the perfect time to jump in, as you’ll get two games for the price of one!

To claim your free copy of Superhot: Mind Control Delete, you won’t have to do anything but wait. Those who purchased the game on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 will receive a free copy automatically in their games library a few days after the standalone releases on July 16th. At launch, Mind Control Delete isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch or Windows, but if you have a receipt to prove your purchase of the original game, you can contact Team Superhot and they’ll give you a free PC code.

That being said, if you got your game through Xbox Games with Gold, PlayStation Now, or some other giveaway, you won’t be eligible for the free copy. This giveaway is a thank you to those who paid money for the original game and helped support developers, so it’s not too surprising that codes received for free aren’t eligible. “We’re incredibly lucky and privileged thanks to you,” shared developers. “It only seems fair that we try to return the favor. As a tiny token of our gratitude, we hope that coordinating this massive, complicated giveaway scheme helps bring a bit more joy into your life.”

Superhot: Mind Control Delete is the third installment in the franchise, with the second being a standalone VR experience. In Mind Control Delete, developers are offering players “more insight into the world of Superhot, more story, and more signature gameplay.” Further, developers are promising a bigger world to explore with more mechanics, power, and characters at the player’s disposal.
