Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a weird way of making us want to do things we never thought we’d want to do and yes, that includes hoarding fleas to our heart’s content. How to Catch Fleas In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Most bugs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are pretty simple to get. Ants like spoiled fruit and grasshoppers, ladybugs, and the like are all easy grabs with a simple net. But some other critters in New Horizons are a little trickier and fleas are no exception. You’re going to want to get comfy with your villager’s heads…

There are two different time periods optimal for flea gathering. We threw together a small chart easily breaking down the flea-catching seasons:

Northern Hemisphere

April – November

Southern Hemisphere

October – May

During the above times, some villagers may be feeling a little bit itchy, which means they are prime time for some net action to the face. That’s right, get ready to slap some exploration into those in-game friends of yours, because that’s how you catch fleas in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

If you notice a villager has got that itch, especially when they start talking about getting itchy, just walk up to them and bring that net hammer down upon their gloriously disgusting heads. Doing so will reward you with one of the grosser finds of the day but these can rank you some decent bells, not phenomenal like Tarantulas, but they are also an achievement as well for those scrumptious Nook Mileage achievements as well!

Though the Bells might not be enough to justify the constant grab, nabbing some fleas at least once is definitely worth it!
