In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s IX Zombies map, players can assemble a special defensive weapon called the Brazing Bull. The Brazing Bull is a shield in IX that players can build and wield throughout the match. In this guide, we’ll explain where to find all three parts to build the Brazen Bull shield in Black Ops 4 Zombies so that you can wield one of the best early defense items in IX.
How to Build the Brazen Bull in Black Ops 4 Zombies IX
The Brazen Bull is a massive buildable shield that will help players fend off zombies in IX and is composed of several parts. Players must find and collect all of the Brazen Bull shield parts and take them to a buildables workbench for assembly to obtain the Brazen Bull shield. Each piece of the Brazen Bull will spawn somewhere on the IX map, usually in predictable locations.
It’s worth noting that the shield pieces may not spawn right away. If a shield piece doesn’t spawn where you expect it to be, wait a few minutes and check the location again, as the pieces may take some time to appear.
Where to Find All Brazen Bull Parts
You can find the parts in any order, but the directions below will assume you are grabbing each part in the order they are listed.
Part 1: Temple of Ra
At the start of the match on IX, go through the pathway to the right that has two red sun banners hanging overhead. Go past the Sphinx in the next room and continue up the staircase to reach the Ra Altar Room.
The first Brazen Bull part can be found in one of three locations in the Ra Altar Room:
- In the corner to the left of the staircase, when facing the Ra shrine.
- At the top of the staircase, immediately to the right.
- Beside a pillar directly across from the top of the staircase.
Part 2: Temple of Odin
For the next Brazen Bull piece, make your way underground and continue opening passages until you reach Odin’s Temple. There are multiple ways to reach this area, but you can get there by going through the initial passageway you opened to get to Ra’s Altar Room.
From the Ra Tower Room, continue underground, opening the door on the far side of the Burial Chamber containing the sarcophagus. Pass through the Collapsed Tunnel into the Fallen Hero room, and make your way to The Pit, where you will find the workbench you will use later to build the Brazen Bull.
Head up the steps across from the workbench and hang a left through the passageway. On the left is a gate to the Odin-Zeus Temple Entrance.
Here’s where to look for the second Brazen Bull part in the Temple of Odin area:
- On the floor of the Cauldron room in Odin’s Tower.
- On the shield rack at the top of the steps in the Odin Tower Entrance.
- Upstairs in the Odin Altar Room, in front of a wooden barrel holding spears.
Part 3: Temple of Zeus
You can get to the Temple of Zeus from multiple pathways, but for this sake of this guide, we are assuming you are coming from the Temple of Odin. From the Odin Altar Room, open the passageway to the drawbridge and make your way across to the Zeus Altar Room.
Here’s where to look for the third Brazen Bull piece in the Temple of Zeus:
- At the foot of the statue in the Zeus Altar Room.
- Held in the hand of the statue in the Zeus Tower Entrance room, across from the staircase.
- In the underground Bath House in Zeus Tower, on a shelf in front of a candle-lit relief.
Build the Brazen Bull
Once you have collected all three Brazen Bull shield parts, it’s time to put it together. Go back underground to The Pit area and find the buildables workbench. You’ll need at least 1,500 points to craft the Brazen Bull shield.
The shield comes with a sword, which acts as your melee attack weapon. Hold down the aim button while firing to shoot fireballs and fry incoming enemies. If your shield needs repairs or you need to replenish your fireballs, you can fix it at the workbench for 250 points.
Not only is the Brazen Bull used for mitigating incoming attacks, it is also capable of shooting powerful fireballs, making it a versatile defensive weapon. Check out some of our other Call of Duty Black Ops 4 guides for more tips and tutorials.
