Here’s What’s Coming in WoW’s Fury Incarnate Update

I (don't) sleep

Next Tuesday, September 5, we’re being treated to World of Warcraft’s newest Dragonflight content update: Fury Incarnate. With it comes a few new additions, including a fantastic, no-frills alt catchup event. Let’s take a look:

Forsaken and Night Elf Heritage Armor

Both Forsaken and Night Elves are getting their Heritage Armor sets starting next week. These are race-specific and highly detailed cosmetic armor sets which are planned to eventually be created for all of WoW’s races. For info on obtaining these, check out our Heritage Armor guide.

Dreamsurge Public Events

Once a week, a new zone in the Dragon Isles will be affected by the “Dreamsurge.” This event buff grants +25% experience, and completing Dreamsurge events gives a currency that allows the purchase of 402 ilvl gear, and a 415 ilvl piece once per week. These make for a great catch-up event for both leveling and gearing alts!

Heroic Dawn of the Infinite

Let’s face it: WoW’s newest Megadungeon is tough. If you didn’t get the chance to take on its Mythic variation, then next week’s Heroic version might be up your alley. This will split the dungeon in two and allow it to join in the rotation of LFG heroics. It’s a great way to learn mechanics if you ever find yourself geared up for the Mythic difficulty!

Returning Items, Holiday Refresh, and More

Blizzard also announced that hundreds of items that were scrapped during the Cataclysm world overhaul are returning. Collectors everywhere rejoice! Of course, we’re also getting a Hallow’s End and Brewfest Holiday refresh, but those remain to be seen (so stay tuned).

Along with these changes we’re getting a few new chapters in the main storyline, presumably involving Fyrakk and the Aspects. I’m not a lore nerd, so don’t ask me.

What are you most excited for? Personally, I’m still anticipating a return to Scarlet Hold, hopefully for the Hallow’s End Halloween event.
