You won’t have the ability to cook dishes right away. First, you’ll need to go through the opening days of the Spring season and follow the story. as the story progresses, you’ll be introduced to new characters, mechanics, and options for growing your farm.

Eventually, you will gain access to selling your crops to start making money. You’ll need to start selling your crops as soon as possible because in order to unlock cooking, it’s going to cost you 2,000.

Once you can go back into Lethe Village and speak to the store owners, head over to the Renovator; here is where you can purchase the kitchen counter upgrade. This will allow you to cook in your home and make meals that will heal you and replenish your stamina much more efficiently than the raw vegetables you’ve been eating.
