Greedfall Heretics Hunt Guide – Quest Walkthrough

First things first, actually picking up this quest. You have to make your way to the embassy in Serene and to strike up some conversation with Cardinal Antonius. If he seems a little odious, don’t worry. It’s not just you, the guy just gives off a bit of a slimy aura. After your brief interlude, you’ll be able to pick up the Heretic Hunt quest, and the first thing on your to-do list for this quest is to speak to Captain Vasco. Your job, since you’ve accepted it, is to take care of some Heretics that have been raising hell.

We would head over to the smuggler’s headquarters to progress the quest. Filch around in his belongings and you’ll end up with some personal information in your possession in the form of a diary. This will nudge you to actually meet with the Heretics, but you’re going to need to put a little bit of effort in here.

The Heretics warehouse is well guarded. In order to get in, you have a number of options here. You can either use:

  • The art of subterfuge by popping on a sailor’s outfit to slip under the radar
  • A sleeping potion, assuming you have sufficient Science
  • Sneak in by heading to the rooftops via a ladder and bypassing security

Once you’ve made your quiet entrance, you have more options as to how to actually conclude the quest. If you’re desirous of information, you can extract it by dressing up as Naut. You can also choose to hear everyone out. After this, you’ll be presented with three choices:

  • Arresting the Heretics
  • Asking to speak to the Bridge Alliance Ambassador to explain everything
  • Letting the heretics be on their way

Should you choose to let the Ambassador in on any subterfuge that you’ve undertaken, you will lose a reputation point with Theleme. In all other regards, you’ll get 1000 EXP upon turning in this quest, and if you choose to pick the arrest route then you will eventually gain 3 reputation points with Theleme and 50 coins.

Now that you’ve got our Greedfall Heretics Hunt guide in hand, getting this side quest out of the way for Cardinal Antonius should be no trouble at all. Curious about anything else to do with the game? Check our guides hub as we update it with useful tips and tricks just for you.
