Ghost of Tsushima is set to release on the PlayStation 4 on July 17 after a delay earlier this year. As with most AAA games, players who preorder a copy of the game can choose from a couple of different editions which will include a variety of exclusive physical and digital items for a higher price. In this guide, we are going to look at the Ghost of Tsushima best edition to preorder and give you a full rundown of what comes with each edition.
What Is the Best Edition of Ghost of Tsushima to Preorder?
There are currently four editions for Ghost of Tsushima that players can preorder ahead of the game’s launch. As usual, these editions range in price and include all sorts of different items that players will receive alongside the game. - Base Game – $60
- Special Edition – $70
- Digital Deluxe Edition – $70
- Collector’s Edition – $170
As you can see, the Special Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition are only $10 more than the base game and will include some pretty cool swag. On the other hand, the Collector’s Edition is the most expensive of them all, but also includes tons of bonus items for those who purchase it. Here’s a quick breakdown of each Ghost of Tsushima edition.
Base Game
The Ghost of Tsushima base game is pretty much what you’d expect, it’s simply a copy of the game and doesn’t come with any special rewards. Players can purchase the base game for $60 on Amazon both digitally and physically.
Special Edition
The Ghost of Tsushima Special Edition will only be $10 more than the base game and includes five special items. Those who purchase it will receive a steelbook edition of the game and a handful of digital items, like a director’s commentary, a Hero of Tsushima Skin set that includes a Golden Mask and Sword kit, a Charm of Hachiman’s Favor, and one Technique Point. The Special Edition is currently unavailable on Amazon but is available through Best Buy.
Digital Deluxe Edition
The Ghost of Tsushima Digital Deluxe Edition will also only cost $10 more than the base game and includes some pretty cool digital items. With this version, players will receive a digital version of the base game, along with an art book, director’s commentary, Hero of Tsushima skin set, which will include the Golden Mask and Sword Kit, along with Body Armor, a Horse, and a Saddle, Charm of Hachiman’s Favor, one Technique Point, and a special Samurai theme for your PlayStation 4. The Special Edition can only be purchased through the PlayStation Store for $70.
Collector’s Edition
The Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition is the most expensive of them all and is currently sold out everywhere. The edition will come with the steelbook copy of the game and a few physical items like a Sakai mask, a Sashimono War Banner, a cloth map of Tsushima, and a Furoshiki wrapping cloth, and an art book. Further, it will also include some digital items like a digital director’s commentary, a Samurai PS4 theme, the Hero of Tsushima skin set, and one Technique Point. While the Collector’s Edition is currently sold out, it could come back in stock on Amazon or Best Buy before launch.
