Genshin Impact – Ibis Piercer Recommended Characters, Ascension Materials and More

Piercing my heart with the most average stats ever

Ibis Piercer is a 4-star Bow given out for free during Genshin Impact 3.7 update, obtainable by participating in the main event available in this version. Similar to most event weapons, it can also be refined by playing through the event, and it gets an Experience boost if you level while the event is active.

It’s pretty easy to get the bow and its refinement items quickly, but it might not be as easy to find a perfect candidate for using it. Time to take a look at what it offers to us and see who would be the most perfect fit for wielding it!

Ibis Piercer Weapon Overview in Genshin Impact

Base ATK44 (at Lvl 1), 565 (at Lvl 90)
SubstatAttack %
Base Atk%6% (at Lvl 1), 27% (at Lvl 90)
Passive DescriptionThe character’s Elemental Mastery will increase by 40 ~80 within 6s after Charged Attacks hit opponents. Max 2 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s.

The passive put this bow immediately as a good option for Charged Attack-based characters. The problem is that its stats, alongside its passive, are not something to write home about in any way. You’re probably better off with other Gacha weapons if you get them. But until then, Ibis Piercer is always a viable choice.

Since this is a completely F2P weapon, you’re expected to play it with maximum refinement levels at all times, where it becomes perfect for reaction-based Bow users. And luckily, some good ones immediately come to mind.

Best Characters for Ibis Piercer in Genshin Impact

With an almost-universally useful Atk% passive, various characters can use this bow as a stat stick. But some of them have the edge of using them to their maximum potential. Ibis Piercer is not the best choice for any of them, but it’s a good free weapon until you get stronger options.

1 – Tighnari

One of the few characters that makes me glad to lose my 50/50. Tighnari is one of the most versatile characters in the game, fitting perfectly as a great quickswap character in various teams. He gains three instant-charge shots after using his Skill, and Dendro is all about making various reactions. With that said, he’s one of the best users of this bow by far.

2 – Ganyu

While not as versatile as Tighnari, Ganyu still has various different playstyles, and building her around Melt reactions is one of them. Both of her Charged Attack hits can Melt the target, which makes up for some absurd numbers when built correctly. The extra Elemental Mastery is the icing on the cake.

3 – Childe

The weapon works surprisingly well on him. His best teams revolve around various elemental reactions thanks to his big Hydro application, so extra EM is always welcome on him. It also works on his dagger Stance, so no need to necessarily fire a Charged Shot before hitting your Skill.

Honorable Mentions

Amber is also a Charge Shot character despite not seeing play often, so this is a good free option to get her. Yoimiya can technically also be built for Charged Shots, but it’s highly not recommended. Otherwise, just use it as a temporary weapon before you can get a better one later.

All Ascension Materials for Ibis Piercer

You’ll need lots of loot from newer enemies to properly level this bow. Here’s the complete list of materials.

  • x3 Copper
  • x9 Iron Talisman of the Forest Dew
  • x9 Silver Talisman of the Forest Dew
  • x4 Golden Talisman of the Forest Dew
  • x10 Faded Red Satin
  • x15 Trimmed Red Silk
  • x18 Rich Red Brochade
  • x15 A Flower Yet to Bloom
  • x18 Trasured Flower
  • x27 Wanderer’s Blooming Flower

With all that loot in hands, you’ll still need around 1,000,000 Mora and 400s of Enhancement Ores to get it to 90, so it’s time to farm for a bit!

Where to Get The Forest Dew Ascension Material

Despite being a Mondstadt weapon, you need to visit Sumeru’s Tower of Abject Pride in the Apam Woods to get its Ascension Materials. Dendro and Electro characters are the best choices to use there, so bring any of those to make for a swift clear. There will be tons of clears, actually. You might also get some materials from previous events, so the farm might be less exaggerated than expected.

Where to Get Red Satin Materials

Eremites are all over Sumeru, and they drop usually large amounts of Red Satins and their upgrades. Use the Adventure Handbook to mark them and start slaying those outlaws. Or if you just wanna get their locations quickly, take a look at our guide for their locations.

The hardest part is definitely getting the flowers from the Hilichurl Rogues. Added back in 3.6, those monsters don’t have a very big population in the extended desert areas. Use the Adventurer Handbook to find most of them, and you’ll probably have to return to them later since you need tons of drops.

And that’s pretty much it for all materials you need! Getting the weapon is definitely the easiest part, as the Duel! The Summoners’ Summit! event is pretty chill overall. Leveling it, on the other hand, it’s not as easy.
