Once you’ve gained the strange but beautiful sword, Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, your next step is building it up and refining it to the max. Many of the weapons that are offered through the Fishing Association run off of Energy Recharge, a basic stat that can be easily overlooked when you have Sacrificial. Although, these passives should not be overlooked and you definitely shouldn’t be missing out on this rather unique and characteristic weapon. Here are the items you’ll need as well as the characters that the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman fits best in Genshin Impact.
Fleuve Cendre Ferryman Details and Refinement Material in Genshin Impact
Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is all about Energy Recharge, using that as its main stat and increasing it further in its passive alongside Crit Rate. Although this doesn’t seem as impressive at first, this makes the weapon quite flexible for either a Support or a DPS—hear me out.Â
For support, this weapon naturally does very well since it’ll constantly regenerate energy for the character it’s equipped on, ensuring that with each use of the Elemental Skill, there will be a better chance to gain enough energy for the Elemental Burst.
What makes this weapon a potential for a DPS is the origins of the Fishing Association’s weapons, The Catch. This weapon was introduced as a free-to-play weapon for Raiden Shogun who operates their damage based on the Energy Recharge output they deliver. Coupled together with the Emblem of the Severed Fate, this weapon can transform a support build into more of a DPS or Sub-DPS build for characters who can use their Elemental Skill multiple times and increase their Energy Recharge.

For the Fishing Association weapons, you are also able to exchange fish for the weapon’s refinement material. This can greatly increase the passive stat effects that you see highlighted on the weapon’s description. For the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, these come in the form of Martens’ Omni-Fix, a salve-looking item that costs cheaper but you do need to collect all four of them to max the weapon. It may take a bit longer than getting the original weapon but is completely worth collecting all of them so you have the best version of the sword on hand.

Best Characters to Equip with Fleuve Cendre Ferryman
All the characters that benefit from Energy Recharge are Lynette, Layla, Bennett, and Xingqui. With the only exception of Xingqui (because they typically have much better options such as Sacrificial), these characters would all be able to use Fleuve Cendre Ferryman quite well, especially if you pair them with Emblem of Severed Fate. Not only with this artifact set will they be able to use their Skills and Bursts all the more, providing energy for themselves and the rest of their party but their Burst will do better damage based on their Energy Recharge. Will it be good for the Hydro Traveler? We have yet to see, I’m still trying to figure out if they are worth building at all, but all in good time.
