Furthermore, those who’ve never encountered and consumed a Zero Point Crystal may likewise feel lost on this one.

To help simplify everything, we’ve put together a guide that runs through how to harvest and consume a Zero Point Crystal, how to Zero Point Dash, and the best way to deal damage after Zero Point Dashing in Fortnite.

Fortnite Week 12 Challenges | How to Deal Damage After Zero Point Dashing

The first question Fortnite players might have when it comes to the Week 12 Challenge of “dealing damage after Zero Point Dashing” is what Zero Point Dashing is. To perform a Zero Point Dash, you’ll first need to find and consume a Zero Point Crystal.

In the center of the Fortnite map (as seen in the image above), you’ll see a large chunk of land covered in sand and pink crystals. Head to this area, then use your Harvesting Tool to break down these pink crystals.

In doing so, you should see a Zero Point Crystal (one or more) drop to the ground.

You can also find some of these shards on the ground next to clusters of Zero Point Crystal shards without having to use your Harvesting Tool at all. You’ll know you found a Zero Point Crystal because it’ll glow and when you approach it you’ll be given the option to “Consume” it off the ground.

By consuming a Zero Point Crystal, you’ll have the ability to perform a Zero Point Dash for 15 seconds while the Zero Point Crystal’s effect is active. The process of Zero Point Dashing once you’ve consumed a Zero Point Crystal is relatively simple.

All you need to do is press the jump button twice in rapid succession and you’ll dash forward, almost as if teleporting from one point to another. This can make you hard to land hits on if you’re fighting an opponent as you’ll be able to quickly dodge out of the way.

The Week 12 Legendary Quests note that you’ll need to deal damage to an enemy player within 10 seconds of Zero Point Dashing.

Couple this with the fact that you can’t store Zero Point Crystals in your inventory, and their effect only lasts 15 seconds, and it becomes clear that the best way to complete this Week 12 Legendary Quest is to land within the Zero Point Crystal area and stay there.

Given that other Fortnite players will also be looking to complete this Week 12 Challenge, you shouldn’t have too much difficulty spotting an enemy to deal damage to after Zero Point Dashing.

Aside from the Week 12 Challenges, learning how to Zero Point Dash can be useful in the event the match ends in the Zero Point Crystal area. You can hide in the sand, and use Zero Point Crystals to get the upper hand on your opponent(s), and they’re just fun to play around with in general.

We hope this guide on Zero Point Dashing and Zero Point Crystals has made the Week 12 Legendary Quests in Fortnite a little easier to understand. Good luck out there, and happy Zero Point Dashing!
