If you’re on the hunt for Fortbytes, then you’re in the right place. If you aren’t sure why you should be hunting these little computer chips, then let us fill you in. At the beginning of Season 9 of Fortnite these were added into the game, but only some of them. Every day brings us a new Fortbyte, and each of these has its own challenge to complete or riddle to solve in order to claim it.

Sometimes these challenges are easy, just make sure you earn enough experience within this season, and you’ll earn some. Sometimes though, these are much more challenging, requiring unique skins to be equipped before you go to a specific place. That’s why we’ve got this Fortnite Fortbyte 48 location guide, to make sure you can keep collecting them every day.

Fortnite Fortbyte 48 Location

Today has us hunting down a gnome and smashing it with the Vox Pickaxe. The first thing you need to do is actually unlock the Vox Pickaxe, which you can earn by reaching Tier 55 of the Season 9 Battle Pass. Just remember to actually equip it.

Once you’ve got it, you just need to hop into a match and head south of Shifty Shafts. There is a mountain with a throne on it and right next to it is the poor gnome you have to finish off. Smash it and grab the Fortbyte, then you can continue on with your game.

Now that you’re done with our Fortnite Fortbyte 48 location guide, you should head over to our Fortnite Hub.
