As part of a new batch of quests in Fortnite, players will need to “repair damaged telescopes” five different times. In total, there are five damaged telescopes you’ll need to find and repair. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 | How to Repair Damaged Telescopes
If you’re looking to earn yourself a quick 24,000 XP in Fortnite, you’ll want to take the time to run through the quest where you need to repair five damaged telescopes. The primary question when it comes to this quest is where to find all five of these damaged telescopes.
In the map image above, we’ve circled locations where we’ve found damaged telescopes that can be repaired, and when they’re repaired, count towards the progress of the damaged telescope repair quest. As you can see, there are more than five which helps make this quest even easier.
Another thing that’s interesting is that many of these damaged telescopes are located in close proximity to some of the CB radios that you need to use as part of another quest in Fortnite. If you’re doing that quest, it seems like you can do this one as well at the same time (use a CB radio, then find and repair a damaged telescope, etc.).
When you find a damaged telescope, the other question that’s likely to pop up centers around how to repair these damaged telescopes. On this note, you’ll need materials in order to repair these telescopes, you can’t just approach them and interact with them to repair them.
In our experience, each telescope we repaired asked us to provide 20 Metal in order to repair the damages. By having that 20 Metal in our inventory, we were able to repair the damaged telescope at each location.
Once you’ve repaired the fifth and final damaged telescope, you’ll earn 24,000 XP in Fortnite and can proceed to other quests like using five CB radios.
