Another week, another opportunity to earn free in-game items in Fortnite. Unlike events related to Battle Pass outfits, like getting the Gold Anniversary skin for Lara Croft, the Lantern Trials is one you’ll need to manually sign up for.
The event comes in celebration of Ramadan and is set to run from May 10 until May 16. This gives you a few more days (at the time of this writing) to quickly jump in and earn free Fortnite rewards. Wondering where to start? Here’s how to participate in the Lantern Trials in Fortnite!

Once logged in, you’ll earn your first Badge and your first in-game reward in the form of the Lantern Spray.
In total, there are 11 Badges that you’ll be able to earn with rewards coming at two key progress points. When you earn 6 Badges, you’ll earn the Warrior Emoticon. When you reach all the way to the 11th Badge, you’ll earn the Lantern Glow Wrap.

And that’s really all there is to it. All you need to do to participate in the Lantern Trials is sign up on the website, then play 40 minutes of Fortnite for each Badge. In the FAQ page for the Lantern Trials, a few stipulations are mentioned including limited sign-ups with registration said to close after 1 million players sign up. As of the time of this writing, we were able to sign up without issue.
Additionally, the Lantern Trials are supposed to be exclusively available to residents of Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Jordan.
