Fortnite players looking to unlock the Lara Croft (Gold Anniversary) skin will need to complete a special mission in order to find a “golden” weapon. The challenge here isn’t finding and picking up the weapon needed to unlock the skin, it’s doing so before other players get the chance to first.
To explain and help make things as easy as possible, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining how to get the Gold Anniversary skin for Lara Croft in Fortnite!

The Outfit for Lara Croft in Fortnite has a number of different styles that come with it from the edgy Classic to the more modern 25th Anniversary skin.
However, another anniversary skin outside of the 25th Anniversary one can be unlocked for Lara Croft right now in Fortnite.
All you need to do to get this Gold Anniversary skin for Lara Croft is to find and pick up a “golden” weapon (Legendary Assault Rifle) on a small island located at the southern edge of Fortnite’s map.
In the map image above, we’ve marked exactly where this weapon can be found.
Once you land on the island, you’re going to want to head into the second, lower level of the main building and look for a Legendary Assault Rifle sitting on a platform. When you spot it, quickly pick it up.
By picking up this golden Legendary Assault Rifle, you’ll unlock the Gold Anniversary skin for Lara Croft. Note that you have to be wearing the Lara Croft Outfit when you go to pick up the Legendary Assault Rifle.
You also have to be the first one to pick up the Legendary Assault Rifle. If someone has already gotten to the Legendary Assault Rifle – even if you eliminate them and they drop it – you won’t be able to unlock the golden Lara Croft skin.
To get the skin, you have to be the first one to pick up the Legendary Assault Rifle. This is easier said than done as you’re bound to encounter enemy players all looking to unlock the Gold Anniversary skin for Lara Croft.
Whoever picks up the Legendary Assault Rifle first gets it. If you aren’t the first, you can exit and enter a new match and try again. Keep trying until you’re the first to pick it up, after that, you’re good to go.
It doesn’t matter if you get eliminated right after you pick up the Legendary Assault Rifle, or if you’re able to eliminate enemies and continue playing, all that matters is that you were able to pick up that weapon before anyone else.
Once you’ve unlocked the Gold Anniversary skin for Lara Croft, you can wear it by heading to your Locker, selecting the Lara Croft Outfit, then selecting “Edit Styles” and picking the Gold Anniversary option.
