Can You Play Fortnite on Console With Keyboard and Mouse?

If you’re playing Fortnite on an Xbox or PlayStation console, you’ll be happy to hear that Fortnite supports plug-and-play connectivity with your favorite keyboard and mouse, so you can jump in on the console and start wiping other players out with your favorite accessories. If you’re playing primarily on Nintendo Switch, however, you may be saddened to know that you cannot natively use a keyboard and mouse with Fortnite.

There are a variety of different adapters available for the Nintendo Switch that will allow you to access keyboard and mouse support, but the use of these particular accessories could result in a ban for your Epic Games account, meaning that you will not be able to play Fortnite on any console, PC, or mobile devices.

Is it worth possibly losing your account to play with a keyboard and mouse on Nintendo Switch? We don’t think so, and many other games are cracking down on the usage of devices like the Cronus Zen, completely banning players from their respective games if they’re caught using them through anti-cheat measures. So if you feel the absolute need to play Fortnite with a keyboard and mouse, it may be time to download it on a different platform or upgrade your PC to play it this way.
