Fortnite Brute Mech Nerf – Everything You Need to Know

by Nicholas Barth

Each new season of Fortnite brings an array of significant changes to the battle royale title. One of the most significant changes that occurred with the start of Fortnite Season X was the addition of the Brute Mech. This vehicle soon became the most powerful item in the world of Fortnite, as the weapons and overall health of the Brute Mech made it a very formidable weapon. However, a large portion of the community has become frustrated with the existence of the Brute Mech and believe it is a horrible item to have in the game. These complaints by the community have led to Epic Games applying a major nerf to the robotic vehicle. If you are interested in learning what this nerf consist of, you’ll want to read up on everything you need to know about this highly anticipated nerf below.

A vast majority of the nerf applied to the Fortnite Brute Mech vehicle dealt with the effectiveness and power of the robot’s rockets and movement capabilities. The spawn rate of the vehicle was also significantly nerfed to help with not having so many of the vehicles available for players to use on the map at once.

You can find the entirety of the changes made to the vehicle below:

It remains to be seen how effective this nerf of the Fortnite Brute Mech is when it comes to satisfying the community’s desire for the vehicle to no longer dominate matches. While this nerfing of the robot is definitely a step in the right direction in the eyes of many players, there are plenty who still feel the powerful vehicle should not be in the game whatsoever.
