FFXIV: How to Get the Mandervillous Relic Weapons (Final Step)

The final mander-step is here

The Manderville Relic Weapons saga has finally come to an end with FFXIV Patch 6.55, where the Mandervillous Weapons were finally introduced. And getting your hands on this one last step is just as easy as it was for the previous ones, so here’s what you need to do.

How to Get the Mandervillous Weapons in FFXIV

The Mandervillous weapons are unlocked by completing the Resonating with Perfection quest in Radz-at-Han, given by Gerolt at (X:12.0 Y:7.1). He’s at the same place where he has always been throughout the previous steps, so just grab the newest one and start gathering your materials.

You’ll need three chunks of Cosmic Crystallite for this step. As usual, they’re obtained from Jubrunnah at (X:12.2, Y:11.0), next to Radz-at-Han’s main Aetheryte. They cost 500 Allagan Tomestones of Causality each, totaling 1500 for a full weapon.

Tip:

If you’re making a new Manderville weapon from scratch, you’ll need a total of 6000 Tomestones of Causality for the full weapon from start to finish. If you’re attempting to complete all weapons in their entirety, good luck farming for the grand total of 114,000 Tomestones.

Bring them back to Gerolt and after a brief cutscene, you can now arrange your weapon’s main status just like in the previous step. Most jobs get a bigger boost by maximizing Critical Hit and Determination with Direct Hit being usually the third choice (with 72 points), but it may vary according to your job.

The Mandervillous Weapons cannot be melded, but they have the maximum possible amount for two of their status and the equivalent of two high-grade materials for the third stat, making them the strongest weapons in Endwalker.

How to Farm Allagan Tomestones of Causality Quickly

Since the weapons have been tied to this secondary currency throughout the whole expansion, you probably already have a knack for grabbing them at this point. But having some extra tips is never a bad thing, so here are a few of the best methods to grab some of these.

1 – The Hunt/Hunt Trains

The fastest method to cap out on Tomestones is by having a ride on your local Hunt Train. Search for your World/Data Center’s hunting Discord servers (there are plenty of those) to get easier notifications for their timings and join other people as they mercilessly slaughter those Rank As. A full train usually yields at least 240 Tomestones very quickly, and they usually happen one after another in each World, so that’s a lot of easy Tomes.

2 – Daily Roulettes

The most popular, tried and true method of them all. Enter your usual Roulettes with a Level 90 Job and you’re guaranteed to get a lot of these for your hard work. If you’re lucky enough to get into a Level 90 duty, you also get a few extras. Alliance Raid and Level 50/60/70/80 Roulettes give you more Causalities than others, so do these first.

3 – Wondrous Tails

While there are tons of good prizes, grabbing those 500 Tomestones from your weekly Wondrous Tails book is always a good call. You need to make at least two lines to grab them, which isn’t exactly easy but isn’t impossible either. Very worth it if you don’t care about that MGP for now.

4 – Helping out on a First Clear

While completing your Daily Roulettes, you might stumble upon someone attempting their first clear at a new content. If said content happens to be Level 90, you get an extra 100 Tomestones of Causality for helping them. While this is mostly a random occurrence, you can help out strangers on Party Finder in clear parties for some more difficult content such as Extremes and Savages. Of course, you also need to know the fight yourself, but at least it keeps the grinding going if you’re bored of farming for now.

As soon as Endwalker is done, the Causality Tomestones required for the weapons will be replaced by the usual Poetics Tomestones, making it even easier to get the weapons. But since that won’t be happening anytime soon, time to get on those Expert dungeons and start farming for a bit.
