Far Cry 4 Easter Egg – Beat the Game in 15 Minutes

by Prima Games Staff

If you think Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has a short single player campaign, wait until you play Far Cry 4. Turns out, you can beat the game in roughly 15 minutes without firing a gun, riding an elephant or finding one of those Propaganda Posters

Warning… spoilers incoming.

The game begins with protagonist Ajay Ghale heading into the Himalayas to honor his mother’s final wish, to leave her ashes in the dangerous country of Kyrat. Within minutes of arriving, warlord Pagan Min‘s forces assault the bus and kill almost everyone. Interestingly enough, Min recognizes Ajay and takes him and a mysterious man from the bus to his fortress for dinner. He knows Ajay’s mom, but before he reveals anything, Min discovers the other man is a terrorist and has his goons carry him away to be tortured.

When that happens, Min tells Ajay to stay put and wait for him. Now in most cases, this would be your cue to begin playing the game. But if you wait roughly 13 minutes Min comes back and takes you to a shrine to leave the ashes behind. Once you do that, the game is over.

Pretty crazy, right? While surprising, Far Cry 4’s developers leave a hint before the dinner scene, with the song, Should I Stay or Should I Go by The Clash. Of course, it’s not that obvious when you first hear it, and we have to imagine the person who discovered this Easter egg got up to use the bathroom or make a sandwich, then came back and went, “What the?”

You can watch the whole thing unfold in the video below, but why bother doing that when you can play Far Cry 4 right now?
