Every Starting Area in Palworld

Choose your starting zone for a little more variety!

In all the excitement, most people don’t realize that Palworld features a handful of starting zones when beginning a new adventure. So, before you wind up in the same spot for the third time, here is every starting area in Palworld!

All Starting Zones in Palworld

There’s a sort of magic to exploring the world of Palworld and finding the perfect piece of flat land to put down the roots of your base. But first, it’s critical to track down that spot by choosing the right starting zone, and there are eight starting areas in Palworld to select from.

Unfortunately, when playing solo in the offline single-player mode, the game automatically thrusts you into the default Windswept Hills Plateau of Beginning, which is an excellent area. It offers five unique Pals and five resources to collect.

But you get to choose when playing multiplayer, specifically on a dedicated server!

Starting ZoneZone StatsDescription
Eastern Wild Island2/5 Pals
2/5 Resources
Here, you’ll find a number of the more rare Pals in the game, though they’re still challenging to capture. Otherwise, it’s a tricky area for a new player to start in.
Forgotten Island2/5 Pals
2/5 Resources
This area is cold and dangerous, perfect for late-game or experienced players. However, it also offers a lot of empty, flat spaces ideal for building bases.
Ice Wind Island2/5 Pals
2/5 Resources
It is a seaside zone with excellent water-based Pals to discover and catch but little room for building a base due to the rocky landscape and cliffs.
Marsh Island3/5 Pals
3/5 Resources
A beach starting area with tall cliffs to climb, providing great views for those who enjoy beautiful surroundings when setting up a base.
Sea Breeze Castaway Beach3/5 Pals
3/5 Resources
A small island starting zone located a reasonable distance from everything else, which makes it ideal for established players with flying mounts rather than new players.
Sea Breeze Archipelago Reef3/5 Pals
4/5 Resources
The terrain is rugged and uneven, making it challenging to build in and around. However, it also offers stunning scenic views.
Windswept Hills Flying Fish Coast4/5 Pals
3/5 Resources
A small island starting zone located a good distance from everything else, which makes it ideal for established players with flying mounts rather than new players.
Windswept Hills Plateau of Beginning5/5 Pals
5/5 Resources
The default starting zone in the game offers a baseline introduction, with the max amount of Pals and resources to discover in a warm climate.

Which Starting Area to Choose in Palworld

If you’re a brand-new player, I cannot recommend the original starting zone, Windswept Hills Plateau of Beginning, enough. It offers the perfect amount of Pals and resources to introduce the game and its mechanics.

But if you have some experience and need to mix things up, then either Sea Breeze Castaway Beach or Eastern Wild Island offers exciting gameplay and unique vistas while exploring the world.
