Season 2 details were finally released by Infinity Ward for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, and now we know that at least five new weapons are on the way. This time, there is a good mix of specialized equipment and high-powered weapons to let players take down their enemies with ease.
Some of the weapons will be available at the launch of Season 2 while others will become available in the launch window or the mid-season update. This guide will cover all the weapon released dates, along with their descriptions, for COD Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2.
COD MW2 & Warzone Season 2 – Every New Weapon
There are three weapons classified as typical guns that are slated for the new season. The other two weapons include a melee weapon and a crossbow classified as a marksman rifle. One final lethal, the Shuriken, will arrive later in the season as well. The full list can be found below.
COD Warzone 2 & MW2 Season 2 Weapons:
- ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle (Battle Pass) – Takes 5.56 and subsonic .300 BLK rounds. Will likely act like the M13B with some extra power.
- KV Broadside Shotgun (Battle Pass) – A shotgun that’s part of the Kastov Platform. Will be the fastest-firing semi-auto weapon in the shotgun class.
- Dual Kodachis Melee Weapon (Battle Pass) – Dual wield Kodachis that are reminiscent of previous COD seasons. Has a longer range than other options. Has a slower sprint speed.
- Crossbow Marksman Rifle (Launch Window Unlock) – Has exclusive customization options with 20.0″ bolts. Standard bolts can even be recovered.
- Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle (Midseason Unlock) – Details have yet to be released on this marksman rifle.
The two initial weapons will be unlocked by completing levels in the Battle Pass. Those levels will be free, so there is no need to worry about purchases. However, the Dual Kodachis appear to be tied to the premium Battle Pass. The other two marksman rifles will be free later on as well, but players will need to complete challenges in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2.
