Escape from Tarkov just released one of their longest mid-wipe patches in the game. Since the 0.15.5 patch took eight hours of maintenance, players expect something big, especially since Halloween is right around the corner. Here are the summarized details regarding Escape from Tarkov’s 0.15.5 patch, including a secret and game-changing Halloween event not included in their patch note announcement.
Escape from Tarkov’s 0.15.5 Patch Notes Summary
Inventory Interaction During Matching
Players can now interact with their stash, profile, and the Flea Market during the early matching phase, but only while searching for a server. Key functions include:
- Moving and sorting items in the stash.
- Adding items for sale on the Flea Market.
- Open access to character menu information such as health, loadout, gear, tasks, and even skills. This includes your group’s equipment, too.
Achievement Rewards
Rewards are now tied to certain achievements and will remain even after global or personal wipes. Achievement items are sent through an in-game message with unlimited time so players don’t miss out on them.
Players who have completed multiple achievements in the “The Tarkov Mystery” event will receive rewards for each. Rewards can be viewed by hovering over the achievement icon on the character screen.
Achievements and Rewards:
- Involved in Peace, Local Strong Man, and Cardinal Richelieu: Available during The Tarkov Mystery event; reward: Mr. Kerman’s cat hologram.
- Master of ULTRA: Reward: Adik Tracksuit upper clothing. (This reward was previously tied to the Stylish One task, which has now been removed.)

Pinning and Locking Items in the Stash
Two new item management functions have been added:
Pinning: Pinned items are not auto-sorted but can be moved manually. Items can be pinned through the right-click menu or “Pinning” mode (using the “P” hotkey). Pinned status is lost if the item is moved to inventory or during a raid.
Locking: Locked items can’t be deleted, sold, moved, or used (except for opening containers) and are protected from crafting, upgrades, or weapon builds. Items can be locked through the right-click menu or “Locking” mode (using the “L” hotkey). Locked container items retain this status and cannot be moved to inventory.
New Weapons and Attachments
The MPS Auto Assault-12 Gen 1 and Gen 2 automatic shotguns have been added, along with new mounts and attachments for greater weapon versatility:
New bipod mounts: Magpul M-LOK, Odin Works K-Pod KeyMod, and AI AXMC KeySlot Harris.
New attachments for SCAR, G36, and AUG rifles.
Halloween Event
As hinted in the patch notes, “The Tarkov Mystery” event introduces some form of zombies in the Labs map. Labs will also have free entry during the event, and players will also see some exclusive quests to finish. The zombie outbreak event also introduces an expanded area in Labs, which is rare to see, but we can expect them to somehow add this new expanded area in the future.
This is a bit of a surprise for some since they already introduced a new Cultist boss and added a cultist event right before this patch, which was also considered a “Halloween event.” Well, we can’t complain, as new content is always better.
