Like many others, you’ve logged into Blizzard’s Diabo 4 Early Access Beta, carefully crafted a character, seen the arrival of Lilith, and started playing. Maybe you took down a dozen or so Wargs and even got to the first boss. But the true antagonist of the Beta is no monstrosity on the field: it’s Error Code 316719.

This error code can be triggered by a number of things but it seems to occur most often after levelling up. Players who’ve hit both level 2 and 3 have been booted out to the menu, where they’ve been afflicted with queue times that have ranged from 40 minutes to over an hour. While leveling seems to be the trigger, the underlying cause is probably the massive amount of players that have flooded the game and crashed the servers.

Other players have gotten this error while just playing normally. Unfortunately, these error codes will likely continue for the first half of the day and will likely be resolved this evening or tomorrow.

While this isn’t great, as Diablo 4’s early access beta has a time limit, it does give you a chance to do other things. Like your taxes, or have a cup of tea, or pet a cat. Whatever quells the rage and frustration the queue music conjures up in the deepest pit of your soul. Personally, I’ll be commissioning fan art of Lilith and her giant flesh cape.
