Elden Ring: Nightreign is a multiplayer spin-off that expands the world created by From Software, plunging players into a hostile realm as a team. The game is coming to current and last-generation consoles as well as PC, just like the original Elden Ring.

Since it’s the same engine and the game looks practically identical to the 2022 hit release, players can expect similar performance on their PC. Here are the complete system requirements for Elden Ring: Nightreign to prepare you for release later this month.

The requirements for Elden Ring: Nightreign are practically identical to Elden Ring, apart from much lower storage and more current CPU requirements. I would say that it’s a safe bet that the game will perform quite similarly to the original release for most players on PC because of the GPUs listed.

I do hope that there have been efforts made to further optimize the game, because Elden Ring suffers from a variety of shader and traversal stutters, no matter what kind of PC you have.

PC players weren’t able to try out the network test either, so it’s hard to say if there are any optimization improvements compared to Elden Ring itself. The 30 GB storage size makes a lot of sense because the overall map size is consistent and much smaller than the original release, even if changes can occur around it.

Something I would very much like to see is a shader compilation step at the launch of the game for an improved and ideally stutter-free experience on the PC version.

Elden Ring Nightreign Release Date

Elden Ring: Nightreign is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X on May 30, 2025.

You can pre-order it now on all major storefronts.

Overall, Elden Ring: Nightreign doesn’t seem like a demanding title at all, which is why I’m hoping that From Software prioritizes stability as they did with Armored Core 6.
