During Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2022, the release date for Dying Light 2’s upcoming story DLC was revealed. Bloody Ties is currently planned for launch on October 13, 2022. This ten-dollar DLC brings new story content to the game, with a new location and several new weapons, quests, challenges, characters and so on and so forth. A “Community Update” was also launched, featuring performance updates on consoles, changes to enemy AI and… an E3 2019 color grading preset option? That’s the true sicko stuff right there.
Release Date and Details on Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties DLC Expansion
The star of the show for now is the new location, called the Carnage Hall. In Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties, a massive opera building is repurposed into a sort of gladiatorial arena. In the trailer, which you can check out embedded below, we see a lot of over the top, Max Mad-like post-apocalyptic armor and weapons being used to, you know. We’re also introduced to Astrid, who runs the show and seems to be either the DLC’s Big Boss or simply a guiding voice that yells at you a lot.
Pre-ordering Bloody Ties comes with some DLC called the Aristocrat Pack. It comes with an Aristocrat Guard Outfit (“The most exquisite of the guard outfits”) and an Aristocrat Weapon (“It’s a wonder the blood from its cuts is not blue”). You can see what these items look like towards the end of that trailer.
