Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Find Miasmite for Saint of the Slums Quest

Is she a sinner or a saint?

If you’ve spent some time near the Gracious Hand in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you know that they need all the help that they can get. A patient Nun may approach you, asking if you’d be willing to brave the roads in search of ingredients — here’s what you’ll need and how to get Miasmite for the Saint of the Slums quest.

How To Find Miasmite in Dragon’s Dogma 2

After being asked to brave the wilds in search of Miasmite, you’ll want to embark on your journey at night — you’ll need to fight some Phantoms if you’re hoping to get your hands on the 3 Miasmite needed to complete this quest. You’ll find the Phantoms along the standard roadways no matter where you go, characterized by a haunting laugh and looking like the world’s most terrifying Jellyfish.

They’re a bit tricky to battle the first time you encounter them, so be sure that you’re keeping an eye on their movements no matter where they may tend to fly. If you’ve got a Pawn in your party that is either an Archer or a Mage, this can help considerably as they’ll be able to target the Phantom from a distance and hopefully bring them down with ease.

If not, be sure to keep up with their erratic movements and have them in your line of sight. Sure, a lock-on target system would be very beneficial here, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t about to give you an easy way out of this fight. After defeating them, keep an eye on the ground near the location they were felled, as they should hopefully drop the Miasmite that you’re looking for. If the Phantoms you encounter don’t drop this material, head out on another adventure and you’re sure to find more of them that should likely drop this material.

The Miasmite will look like a large crystal on the ground, so it shouldn’t be hard to miss. If you have walked past it, your Pawns may point out that there is an item of importance that you should check out — make sure that you look for an exclamation point on your map for important items. You may also receive drops of Rift Crystals which can be used to purchase items like the Art of Metamorphosis.

After you have collected three of them, return and speak to the Nun. Give her all of the materials needed and you’ll receive a short tour of the Gracious Hand facility. After showing you the young Beastren that she has been tending to, he’ll whisper that something isn’t right about the facility, and ask you to report any rumors you encounter. It’s time to get back to work.

How To Investigate the Gracious Hand in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Saint of the Slums Quest

After speaking with Lubomir, head outside of the Gracious Hand hospital and you’ll encounter a Nun who is willing to give you some important information — it seems there is a basement in this location where the sickest patients are regulated, and Lottie is worried that Lubomir is headed there soon. Head back inside and give the Beastren this information to begin the next portion of this quest.

You’ll want to take the stairs heading down near the entrance of the building on the left-hand side and head down the hallway to the door on the right until you find yourself in a room with a disturbing wailing going on behind it. If there is a Nun in this location, you’ll be chastised for trying to go into this locked room — so wait until it is nighttime either by sleeping or using Special Seats, and then enter the room when she has left. Inside, you’ll find a few patients who are looking worse for wear.

Once inside, you’ll want to head toward the medicine bench that is hiding behind the curtained area — a forbidden room if I’ve ever seen one. Grab the Medicine from the workbench, alongside any other items that may be on there, and go speak to Lubomir once more. He’ll ask you to investigate the unlabeled medicine further by speaking to Radcliffe in Checkpoint town. The Checkpoint Rest Town is a bit out of the way, so you may need to work on leveling up before tackling this portion of the quest.
