Does Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Have Crossplay Support?

At the moment, there is no official confirmation from Focus Entertainment or Saber Interactive that Space Marine 2 will feature crossplay support.

None of the store pages mention crossplay in any form. Steam doesn’t have the “Cross-Platform” tag we usually see for titles that support cross-platform play, and the Microsoft Store page doesn’t have the “Xbox Cross-Platform Multiplayer” tag. Additionally, their recent FAQ on Steam doesn’t mention crossplay either.

It’s very possible that crossplay functionality will be announced ahead of its release, but for now, it seems like players will only team up with friends in the same platform ecosystem. We will certainly update this in case there is direct confirmation from either the publisher or developer.

It’s still a while before the game comes out, and hopefully, the promised beta from last year will make a comeback soon.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Release Date

Space Marine 2 is coming to PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox Series S|X and the PS5 on September 9, 2024.

Make sure to read about its different editions and the pre-order bonus content you’ll receive for an early purchase. The developers also confirmed that there are no microtransactions in the game, and all paid DLC will be cosmetic.

Speaking of crossplay, EA Sports College Football 25 is coming out next month on multiple platforms, so make sure to read up on its crossplay and cross-progression features.
