During the March 10, 2023, Capcom Showcase, a demo for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake was announced. Technically it was leaked via Twitch advertisements earlier in the day, but whatever. The demo is available for every platform the final game will release, and you can download it right now for free. But when it comes to Resident Evil demos, one question is far more important than others. Does the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo have a time limit?

Does the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo Have a Time Limit?
We ask this question because of what Resident Evil fans have dealt with in the past. Throughout the lead-up to the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, demos came out more than once, featuring strict time limits. The first Resident Evil 2 demo was only playable once! This was madness, but this time it looks like Capcom is done with the wacky restrictions.
Speaking of restrictions, it looks like the demo is set during the early moments, at least from my recollection of the original Resident Evil 4. It’s the stuff when Leon is going around the village trying not to be murdered with pitchforks. Then the chainsaw guy shows up. You know how that goes. If you don’t, you should probably play the original Resident Evil 4. It’s a classic, obviously.

The Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo does not have a time limit. They made a point to mention that in the showcase, much like the hateful bastards mentioned the Jill Valentine shot in the Resident Evil Death Island movie trailer. Without actually answering a question. Jerks. Degenerates. What were we talking about again?
Resident Evil 4 is set to release for the PlayStation 4 and 5, the Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC via Steam on March 23, 2023.
