Does Once Human Have Multiplayer or Co-Op Gameplay?

Once Human is a multiplayer survival game, which naturally means, you can play with other people on a server. The game also has co-op activities that allow players to face monstrous creatures in dungeons for incredible rewards. No matter how you play this game, you will always be interacting or seeing other players across the world. In terms of PvE and PvP gameplay, here’s a straightforward explanation.

How Does PvE and PvP Gameplay Work in Once Human?

After opening the game, you’ll have the choice to pick between a PvE and a PvP server. The PvE servers allow players to focus purely on exploration, dungeons, quests, and other non-PvP elements within the game, but you will still encounter other players. However, there are events within these PvE servers where you can enter an activity with other players and participate in a PvP shootout, like Stronghold Conquest. But if you’d prefer to just play alone and focus on questing or dungeon raiding, PvE servers will allow you to do exactly that.

However, if you prefer battles against other players, you can choose a PvP server. The major appeal here is that within these PvP servers, you can meet and fight other players without needing to enter an activity or special dungeon. Everything within these servers is free reign, as long as you’re level 10 or above.

Not only can you fight other players in PvP servers, but you can set up defenses like turrets to obliterate enemies when you’re away. Think of these features as special defensive weaponry to protect you from raids or annoying players while you’re offline. If you’ve ever played Rust before, the concept of servers and settings are pretty similar.

And that’s that. For more information, feel free to read Once Human’s official blog post about PvE and PvP gameplay. The game officially comes out on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on July 9, 2024.
