Do Helldivers 2’s Warbonds Go Away? – Answered

Say no to FOMO.

The late-stage capitalist hellscape that has impacted all ways of life, game monetization included, has many players wondering how Helldivers 2’s faux-Battle Passes and Warbonds will work. Well, I have good news and I have good news.

Do Warbonds Expire in Helldivers 2?

Nope, Warbonds will stick around indefinitely and will be yours to both progress and purchase at your leisure forever and ever. Not only does this mean you don’t have to sweat any FOMO, but you can also pick and choose which ones you want to buy, and how you want to progress them. Say you want to pick at the new weapon unlocks and Super Credits in one before moving to another for some fancy new cosmetics – you can do that! Just be aware of the Medal requirements for each concurrent page of each Warbond.

How to Upgrade Warbonds in Helldivers 2

If a Warbond is “Premium,” it means you’ll need Super Credits to be able to progress it using in-game Medals. The first Premium Warbond was the Steeled Veterans pass, which costs 1,000 Super Credits and features a whole slew of rewards. The next, coming this Thursday, March 16, is called the Cutting Edge Warbond and contains much the same in the way of rewards. We don’t know the exact price, but Arrowhead has stated that a Warbond’s rewards will affect the price. So a shorter Warbond might only cost 500 Super Credits, but a larger one might be 1,000.

Remember, you can earn Super Credits in-game, either by completing Warbonds or by exploring the world. Don’t feel the need to rush to your wallet to buy a premium Warbond – it isn’t going anywhere, and the meta is always changing. Play at your own pace (if you want), and rest assured knowing these rewards will be here to stay.
