Digimon Survive: How to Befriend Fangmon

Fangmon has some dope evolutions too, like Myotismon and Beelzemon!

Digimon Survive lets you recruit a fairly modest list of characters to your party, alongside the main crew you get as part of the story. That even includes Digimon you encounter in the game as boss fights. One such Digimon is Fangmon, the creepy-looking wolf-like creature that wears cool leather leggings and has a super long, thin snout. It’s one of the weirdest-looking Digimon out there, and that’s saying something. So how do you befriend Fangmon in Digimon Survive?

How to Recruit Fangmon in Digimon Survive

Luckily this is one of the easier tasks you’ll encounter in Digimon Survive. First, you’ll have to play the game a bit, but not for very long. Fangmon is one of the first boss fights in the whole game, and you’ll be able to recruit one for yourself not much longer. It’s an easy find too, since Fangmon simply appears in free battles. Once you can hop into free battles in the school area, which is only around part three, you can fight this one on demand.

Once you’re in a fight with Fangmon you can simply use one of the main Digimon to talk, then answer the questions enough to fill its recruitment meter. Even then you’ll have a less than stellar chance of success, which is usually the case with boss Digimon. But if it doesn’t work, or you pick the wrong answers, you can just restart the battle right there in the pause menu. Easy!

Getting characters like Fangmon from free battles is gonna be the most straightforward way to get supplemental muscle for your battles. If you want a character like Gabumon, however, there’s a little more work and chance involved. But if you’re playing Digimon Survive enough to explore the different endings anyway (you should!), then you’ll get everything you want no problem.
