The key to earning a high score is to search for Shrines that spawn in the weekly Gauntlet dungeon. There are two shrines, in particular, that will help you drastically improve your score in each run. One of them will increase all scores from killing enemies during the trial. The other shrine will reset every enemy in the dungeon, which allows you to run back to certain areas that have a higher density of mobs and more bosses.

Each week, the dungeon that you play through in The Gauntlet will change. However, the layout is the same for every player that week. This allows you to learn the layout and you can even see where these shrines are marked on the map once you explore the full trial. If you can map out where The Gauntlet shrines will spawn on the map each week, then you can base your route around resetting the enemies in the most efficient way possible.

You have eight minutes to earn as much score as possible in The Gauntlet, and if you want to reach the top 500 on the leaderboards, utilizing the respawn shrines is one of your most important tasks. With that said, an even easier goal is to reach Worthy rank each week. At the very least, this will allow you to get all four Reward Caches tied to the trial. Players only need to reach around 300,000 score to get this rank and that’s nowhere near the top 500 in Diablo 4.

If you haven’t begun your trials journey just yet, check out how you can get started in The Gauntlet.
