Diablo 4 Crusader’s Monument Stronghold – Location, How to Beat, Rewards

Help cleanse the Crusader spirits.

The failed Crusade has a monument full of spirits that needs cleansing in Diablo 4 and you are the best candidate to get the job done. The Crusader’s Monument is just another of the many strongholds across Sanctuary, but this one is fairly tame in terms of difficulty, and I’m here to make the process even faster. Here’s how to complete the Crusader’s Monument Stronghold in Diablo 4, including location and rewards.

Where to Find the Crusader’s Monument in Diablo 4

You can find the Crusader’s Monument in the northwestern quarter of the Hawezar region in Diablo 4. The stronghold sits next to the massive desert section of Kehjistan. There are a couple of Waypoints that you can use to reach the monument, but the best bet is to use the Zarbinzet Waypoint.

Actually entering the monument is far easier than other strongholds in the game. Four entrances exist to the area and there are no obstacles to clear. Simply walk inside and find the central fire. After you interact with the ritual fire, the real quest begins inside the stronghold.

How to Find and Cleanse the Crusaders’ Skulls in the Crusader’s Monument

The main objective of the Crusader’s Monument is to find four skulls and then cleanse each one of them. When you interact with the ritual fire for the first time, Sir Trystan’s spirit will appear, and then you need to take him down. You can retrieve this skull and cleanse it in the central fire. Three more skulls are required after this initial fight.

Simply put, the stronghold has a skull objective on the northern, western, and eastern edges of the monument. Each one of these areas will have hordes of enemies and a corpse you can flip over. The skulls you need will appear in a blue font. I collected all of the skulls before heading back to the main ritual fire.

After I had the other three skulls and went back to the center of the Crusader’s Monument, I threw the skulls into the fire for the cleansing ritual. This will start the final boss fight in the stronghold.

How to Defeat Dame Maryam, Sir Thom, and Sir Morholt in Diablo 4

As far as final boss fights go, this one is fairly easy to complete. Start by taking down Sir Thom, who appears from the fire first. Both Sir Thom and Sir Morholt are crusaders with heavy shields and spears that cause cone blood attacks. Sir Thom is easier to burn first.

With Thom out of the way, you just need to defeat Dame Maryam and Sir Morholt. Because Maryam will continue to throw bolts at you from a distance, I recommend taking her out next. In terms of moves, these spirits don’t offer much danger, so take your time and burn down the dame.

Sir Morholt is left and he takes some extra hits compared to the other two spirits. However, his health bar is still fairly low. Wait for him to attack and slam his shield, then move behind and dish out as much damage as you can. Before you know it, the Crusader’s Monument fight is over.

Crusader’s Monument Rewards in Diablo 4

When you complete the Crusader’s Monument, you can expect plenty of gold, 100 Renown, and some new armor. I got a Drifter’s Tunic and some Heavy Boots, which are pretty weak compared to other rewards. Most strongholds have a higher chance of Legendaries though, so they are certainly worth completing.

The Strongholds don’t stop here though. Make sure to check out more places like the Onyx Watchtower to get as much Renown as possible in Diablo 4.
