Diablo 4: 3 Best Builds for Abattoir of Zir

Conquer Zir's final test

The Abattoir of Zir serves as a final dungeon test for the best builds in Diablo 4 Season of Blood, and at this point in the season, we have an idea of what those are. This guide will cover the three best builds that you can use to easily conquer Zir’s final test.

1) The Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian

The best build for the Abattoir of Zir is the Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian. Two builds currently run the meta for the Season of Blood and everything else clearly falls behind. In this example, the Barbarian class with Hammer of the Ancients as the focus has the ability to wipe out all the enemies on the screen within the blink of an eye.

Paired with all the shouts to buff the HotA build, Barbarians can easily sprint around the Abattoir while they mindlessly slam through some of the toughest content in the game. Overpower damage mixes with Critical Strikes to cause some of the largest damage spikes in this season. Maxroll has a fantastic Hammer of the Ancients build for those who want to try.

2) Ball Lightning Sorcerer

Only the Ball Lightning Sorcerer can keep up with the HotA Barbarian in terms of effectiveness within dungeons. Like the HotA, the Ball Lightning Sorcerer can easily run through the Abattoir of Zir and wipe out all the enemies on the screen instantly. However, the damage is even more passive than what the Hammer of the Ancients can pull off and Icy Veins has a great version of this.

This build is based on spawning multiple Ball Lightning orbs that surround your character. With a full build and all of your buffs active, simply walking through the Abattoir with a full orbit of lightning will kill anything in your path. Both the Ball Lightning Sorcerer and HotA Barbarian will likely get nerfed next season, so enjoy it while you can.

3) Bone Spear Necromancer

Any builds after the two at the top are up for debate. There are tons to choose from in the lower tier, such as the Penetrating Shot Rogue or the Infinimist version of the Necromancer. I overhauled my Necro from Blood Lance to Bone Spear and I was easily able to destroy the Abattoir of Zir without breaking a sweat.

For that reason, I can’t recommend using the Maxroll variation enough. The build is based on Essence regeneration and Crowd Control from tendrils that allow you to spam Bone Spears that hit like missiles. Mixed with the Lidless Wall shield and Fortify buffs, this build is perfect for bosses or clearing high-level dungeons. Try this one out if you want to deviate from the main two.

Make sure you know what you’re getting into before you attempt to complete the Abattoir for the first time.
