Destiny 2 Phaseglass Needle Guide: Where to Find Phaseglass Needle and More

In the middle of upping your Light level? Our Destiny 2 Phaseglass Needle guide might help you with Infusing.
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’re currently undertaking the Destiny 2 Light level grind as you prepare for Shadowkeep dropping on 1 October, then you might be someone who’s particularly interested in Infusing some of your weapons and armor. While this is a limited-effectiveness strategy when it comes to actually getting your Light level up as the game finds plenty of ways to throw items at you while you’re returning to being a Guardian for the first time in months, it’s still viable to a point. Check out our Destiny 2 Phaseglass guide to find out how to use this in Infusing, and where to get it.

Destiny 2 Phaseglass Needle Guide: Where to Find Phaseglass Needle and More

If you’re someone that’s looking to infuse your weapons and armor, Phaseglass Needle is just one of the many ingredients that will be required. You’ll also want to pick up Dusklight Shards, Aklane Dust, and Microphasic Datalattices. The process of Infusing is essentially a way to increase the Power level of gear by consuming gear with the same type. You’ll also need Glimmer to ensure that you pull your Infusion off. The maximum Light level that you can use infusion to bring your gear up to is Light level 700.

In terms of where to find Phaseglass Needles, you’re going to want to head to Io. You’ll have to comb the area to make sure that you find them, and it’s probably easiest to zoom around and to complete Challenges and activities in the area. They’re also available as a reward when you’re engaging with events in Io, including something as simple as doing Patrol missions and defeating particular enemies. You can also get them as rewards from completing bounties that Asher Mir hands out, and those are at a very accessible Light level if you’re wanting to crack into them as soon as possible.

Now that you have our Destiny 2 Phaseglass Needle guide in hand, you should be able to farm this material easily and get your items Infused so you can hold your own against some tougher enemies as you work your way through the game again. If you need help catching up in Destiny 2, our guide on how to defeat Enkaar and to get The Last Word might be helpful too.
