Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Character Tier List – Best Characters Listed

I hope this game gets a 4-player co-op.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a spinoff game and has captured the attention of many roguelite lovers, even if they had no contact with the DRG universe before. You can play as a handful of different characters, so let’s see which ones are the best in this tier list.

What are the Best Characters in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor?

At this moment, there are four characters you can play as, with each of them having three separate sub-classes. After two dozen hours in the game, I have my favorites. Let’s start with the best one based on my personal experience. You’ll need to play all of them to get all of the achievements, though. And rest assured that all of them can take on Dreadnought.

1. Engineer

While Engineer seems difficult to play initially, he’s a very grateful soldier that I would fit in a “support” role, and his turrets really start to wreak havoc on the field in the late game, especially if you get the perk that allows them to follow you. So, do not give up on him after your first few playthroughs; magic takes time to happen.

2. Driller

Driller is the “bruiser” of the group, he is kind of tanky and also has decent weapons (you can start quite the fire), and, what’s most important, insane drilling skills. You will greatly appreciate this as soon as you start playing as a Driller because it will significantly speed up your resource farming.

3. Gunner

Gunner is your typical Space Marine / G.I. Joe, and he resolves his problems by blasting them to smithereens (and that’s an understatement). He starts with the most HP and can become a serious tank as the “Juggernaut” class. All-around class that’s great for beginners, you’ll love it as soon as you unlock it.

4. Scout

Scout is the rogue/DPS of this team. He is fast and has a small chance to dodge the enemy attacks (you can significantly boost it by choosing the Recon class), but he is as fragile as a cardboard box, and while I appreciate the firepower, I am severely upset that I need to invest too many points in max HP and Armor in order to survive the endgame because relying on dodge chance is risky.

There is an easy way to kill Elites in DRG: Survivor, which we’d like to show you.

That’s it for this tier list. I hope that more characters will join the game soon!
