After Bancho Sushi starts to get the ball rolling in Dave the Diver, customers will begin ordering more specific dishes, and major parties like the Jellyfish Event will start to pop up on the calendar. Here’s how to prepare for the Jellyfish Event.
Jellyfish Event Guide for Dave the Diver
The Jellyfish Event calls for Dave the Diver to sell as many Jellyfish on the menu as possible. Each major party event in the game will be themed around one type of fish, and customers that show up will be expecting to eat some special dishes. That means you need to jump into the Blue Hole and get started on catching Jellyfish.
Two Jellyfish are super easy to collect in the Blue Hole, and those two are the Fried Egg Jellyfish and the White Spotted Jellyfish. You can find the Fried Egg species near the surface, and as the name suggests, they look like cartoonish eggs bobbing up and down in the water. The White Spotted Jellyfish is further down and located near the currents around the 80-meter mark.
What to Do With Your Jellyfish in the Jellyfish Event
When you find these Jellyfish, make sure to bring tools like the Tranquilizer Darts or nets. These tools ensure that the Jellyfish are three stars in Dave the Diver and will sell for far more during the party at Bancho Sushi.
Once you have the ingredients you need, it’s time to head to Bancho Sushi to serve customers during the event. Open up the menu and select options that are marked with a pink icon so they align with the theme. In this case, you want as many dishes based on Jellyfish as possible. I was able to make around $3,000 during the party. It’s a great way to earn cash.
Make sure to use the net gun if you’d rather catch a bunch of jellyfish all at once. They’ll need to be in tight groupings, however, vs using the dart gun. The dart gun’s effect takes a few seconds to kick in.
How to Unlock Hush Dart and Net Gun
You can unlock the Hush Dart and Net Gun through weapon chests. The chances of them being in the chest is entirely RNG-based, so it could take you a while. In my game, I was able to unlock both within the first two hours of playing. Weapon chests are scattered throughout the big blue hole and give you weapons to temporarily use. Chests also give you parts of a gun blueprint, and getting three of them makes that gun available in Duff’s shop.
