Dave the Diver: Atlantic Bonito Location and Depth Explained

The good fish.

While it may not be as lucrative as some of the larger fish in the Blue Hole, the Atlantic Bonito can still serve as a great ingredient for dishes in Dave the Diver. To help you catch this small silver-green fish, I’ll outline the location of the Bonito and the depth you should search for as you explore in your next dive.

Where to Find the Atlantic Bonito in Dave the Diver

I was able to find groups of Atlantic Bonito at the 80-meter depth mark in the Blue Hole. 80 meters was a sweet spot for me, but the range of depth where the Bonito can spawn is large. Any depth from 50 meters to 130 meters will have a chance for the fish to spawn. That gives you plenty of opportunities to spot the fish, but it also means a much larger area to cover.

In terms of Blue Hole levels, the Atlantic Bonito is considered a medium-depth fish, which tells us more than the location. Fish at medium depth will typically put up more of a fight against the harpoon, and they appear around other medium-depth fish as well. If you see fish like the Mackerel, then the odds are good for the Bonito to spawn in the same area.

Compared to the other fish at medium depth in Dave the Diver, the Atlantic Bonito is fairly small and hard to spot. Look for fish that resemble Mackerel, but are smaller in size and have more of a green hue than the standard silver-blue. This is the giveaway that you just found the fish you need.

Once you get sick of the small fry fish again, it’s time to look back for some worthwhile sushi. Make sure to check out my guide on how to catch Tuna in Dave the Diver.
