Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Delayed – What is It Now?

The highly anticipated release date for Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed.

It is no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated video game titles for the year 2020, as players from around the world can not wait to dive into the adrenaline-fueled world of the CD Projekt Red game. However, the developer of the upcoming title recently revealed that the release date for its new game had been delayed to make sure that it is entirely ready when it launches.

Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Delayed

CD Projekt Red took to its Twitter account on Thursday, January 16th, and posted an announcement that revealed the release date for the game will no longer be in April and has been delayed to September 17th. The developer explained that the title is complete and in a playable state. Due to the environment of the title containing so much content and the scale/complexity of this content requires them to need for more time to make sure it is polished for launch. 

“We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation, and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect,” said CD Projekt Red in its official announcement regarding the release date being delayed. There are sure to be plenty of players who are sad to see that the release date of the new title has been delayed. This delay is not a cause for concern, however, as it only means CD Projekt Red will have more time to make sure it is the best title it can be when it touches the hands of players in 2020.
