One of the best parts of the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Epilogue wasn’t even the story, but the completely unexpected Mochi Mochi dance that happened when people were taken over. Can you unlock this emote to use yourself?
Is The Mochi Mochi Dance Unlockable in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
While it seems fitting to have this as an unlockable emote that you can use during Multiplayer play sessions, there is no option to purchase or unlock this particular dance as an emote that you can use with your friends. This feels like a missed opportunity because I already know it would be the most used emote in my arsenal when I’m playing with friends.
There are plenty of emotes that you can unlock through gameplay, or by speaking to different NPC characters, but it appears that the Mochi Mochi dance that happens frequently throughout this Epilogue is not one of the available options for players to use to their advantage. At least we have the Glowstick emote, which is nearly the same energy. There’s just something so hypnotizing about this particular dance, especially when you consider that Pecharunt is causing the whole town to partake, even the somewhat awkward version that Arven does.
Just to ensure that it wasn’t available in some way, shape, or form, I went into the Pokemon League Room to see if I could purchase it with the stockpile of BP that I earned at Blueberry Academy, spoke with plenty of NPC characters that may have given it to me, but all to no avail. Maybe we can earn it if there are any final updates to the game, but as of the time of this writing, the Mochi Mochi dance is not available to us.
