While Valorant’s daily shop resets are nice to see, opening the game to see them can be cumbersome. Here’s whether you can still use the Valorant Store Checker.
Can You Still Check the Valorant Shop Outside of the Game?
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to use the Valorant Store Checker or any similar programs that let you see your shop outside of the game. Riot Games recently sent DMCAs to any projects offering that functionality, so these are no longer functional. If you try to use a program you have installed, it likely shows the last shop it could check, or won’t function at all.
The reasoning behind this change is unknown, but, likely, access to the API (part of the backend of Valorant in layman’s terms) offered access to things that could’ve been an issue for Valorant’s security or Riot’s security in general. Whatever the reason might be, it’s a shame that you need to open the game now to see if there are any sweet deals.
While this is a shame, there are ways to see part of your current shop. Thanks to Riot often announcing the newest bundles on their social media accounts for Valorant, you should still know once those bundles finally drop. It’s just the daily offers that aren’t visible unless you’re fully in-game now. If you have an update to download, that means you might need to wait a while.
Will Checking the Shop Outside of the Game Ever Return?
As for if we’ll ever see the feature return, there’s a fair chance it could. Riot hasn’t confirmed or denied any features as of writing, but given the demand around the community for a feature like it, the team could build software that does the same thing. Until an official announcement comes from Riot though, you’re stuck doing things the old-fashioned way.
