Steam Deck is a cool portable console and Marvel Snap is a cool game that runs on Android and iOS portable devices. So therefore it would be cool if Marvel Snap was playable on Steam Deck because it is on Steam (free-to-play). But is this the case? Prima Games has investigated and is here to answer whether you can play Marvel Snap on Steam Deck or not.
Is it Possible to Play Marvel Snap on Steam Deck?
We have been searching far and wide across the Internet about confirmed gameplay of Marvel Snap on Steam Deck, however, we have not found any. We have only found a couple of Reddit posts complaining about the connection issues (despite the installation going OK) and of course, there were mentions that Steam Deck uses SteamOS which is based on Arch Linux, and is therefore missing some crucial dependencies which make the game unplayable at the moment. Check out the Reddit thread here.
Disclaimer: The solutions on the thread are unofficial/third-party so make sure that you are certain about what you are doing before you start meddling with your Steam Deck software.

Since Steam Deck is the hottest handheld console right now, it would be very handy to have a portable version that isn’t on mobile (since many users have expressed complaints that Marvel Snap is draining their mobile phone’s battery too much) but we will apparently need to wait and see if a fully working version is in the cards (pun intended).
