Can You Mod Starfield on Game Pass? – Answered

YOU SHALL...pass?

As is the case with Starfield, Bethesda titles are great on their own. However, having access to mods makes the games from great to excellent thanks to the ability to swap out things you don’t like for things you do. This is the case with any game, but Bethesda’s openness to allow mods into the game helps make the scene more relevant. Because of this modding focus, you may wonder if those of you on Game Pass can revel in its glory. Here’s whether you can mod Starfield on Game Pass.

I am happy to report that you can install mods to Starfield on Game Pass, with the source being myself. I don’t have Starfield on Game Pass, but I do own it on the Microsoft Store which uses the Xbox app on PC anyways. In fact, I’ve already installed a mod that allows you to use DLSS since the base game doesn’t have the feature, and it’s helped a ton for performance.

If you’re looking to mod the game through Game Pass yourself, there are a few things you should know. If you want to access the same files as everyone else, you’ll have a different path to reach the game files. If you open up your C Drive and open up the XboxGames folder, you’ll be able to see all installed games through Game Pass on PC. From there, just double-click Starfield followed by Content, and you’ll be in the same files as Steam users.

From there, it’s the same process as modding Starfield on Steam. Do whatever the mod page tells you, and you’ll be good to go! It is important to note that some mods might not have support for Game Pass so you should always read the mod descriptions. Modding your game like that without it being properly supported at best won’t function, and at worst could corrupt your save files.
