How to Use Mirror Herbs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

If you’re trying to get into the competitive scene of Pokemon, either through tera raiding or the Poke Portal, you might have noticed that certain moves are taking the spotlight. Among these are Recover, a move that’s almost a necessity on one of the Raid meta choices, Gholdengo.

But if you want Recover on other Pokemon, to increase their survivability, you might be wondering how to get it.

Unfortunately, Recover is not a Technical Machine and can’t be found on the ground or in store. Your Pokemon will need to learn it naturally through leveling up, like Gholdengo, who learns it at level 42, or through the use of items.

One way that a move can be passed from Pokemon to Pokemon is through romantic picnic dates and the right Held Items. By heading to Cascarrafa and going to Delibird Presents, you’ll be able to purchase Mirror Herb. Mirror Herb is an extremely expensive item, clocking in at 30,000 Pokedollars, but what’s money in the face of overwhelm victory?

Purchase this herb and give it to the Pokemon that you want to learn the move Recover, though it’s essential that Recover be a move that it can learn through Egg Moves. Ensure that the Pokemon you want to learn Recovery has an empty move slot as well.

Take the Mirror Herb holding Pokemon and the Pokemon that knows Recovery on a picnic. The picnic should only be attended by you, those two Pokemon, and maybe your legendary motorcycle playing the good chaperones. Check the Pokemon holding Mirror Herb, and it should know Recovery.

Good luck getting that perfect move set, Trainer! And don’t break the bank! Or do, I’m not your Poke Mother.
