While there is a massive caveat to this, you can indeed change your appearance in Cyberpunk 2077. Once you’re able to access the open world, head to your apartment. Your first apartment is located in the center of the Watson District in Little China, while other apartments will depend on where you purchase them. Once in your apartment, make your way over to the bathroom and interact with it to open up some options. Select the “Change appearance” option to open up a character appearance screen.

This is where the massive caveat comes in. While you can change some things, more finite choices like body structure can’t be changed. These choices are permanent upon leaving the initial character creation, so you better choose wisely.

Can You Change Your Gender in Cyberpunk 2077?

Sadly, it’s impossible to change your gender in Cyberpunk 2077. While this is partially a consequence of the limited character appearance screen after initial setup, there are some good reasons for this. Given that romances are tied to character gender, being able to swap would screw things up on that front. It’s a real shame since more modern games like Starfield include the ability to re-enter character creator essentially. It’s also 2077, so come on now.
